In Mexico, Children's Day is a very important celebration, since the country has a very large child population. The history of this holiday dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, when various organizations began to promote the welfare of children in the country. In 1916, for example, the National League for the Protection of Children was founded, which aimed to protect children in vulnerable situations.

It was not until 1924 that Children's Day was officially established in Mexico, when then President Álvaro Obregón issued a decree establishing April 30 as the day to celebrate the country's children. Since then, this holiday has become one of the most important in the Mexican calendar, and is celebrated with various activities and events throughout the country.
